What Is Artilysin^®?

What was once a mere idea in 2009 has now evolved into a groundbreaking technology that revolutionizes the way we combat harmful bacteria, including those that are antibiotic-resistant. Artilysin^® serves as a comprehensive collection of antimicrobial proteins, specifically engineered to effectively target any bacterial species, thereby maximizing its potential benefits.

How Artilysin^® Works

Artilysin^® rapidly destroys both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. In the case of Gram-negative bacteria, Artilysin^® penetrates the outer membrane, causing the bacterial cell wall to become unstable. Due to this destabilization, the cell wall can no longer withstand the high osmotic pressure, leading to the bursting of the bacterial cell.

The Advantages Are Clear

Artilysin^® rapidly and efficiently eliminates bacteria while preserving the microbiome. Bacterial resistance formation has not been observed with Artilysin^®.

Our Technology: Bringing Balance to the System

Around 150 years ago, Louis Pasteur hypothesized that bacterial infections cause disease. His theory suggested that the key to a healthy life lay in maintaining a germ-free environment both inside the body and elsewhere. This belief gave rise to the widespread use of antibiotics and the many adverts for mouthwashes and cleaning products that claim to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria.

In recent decades, our understanding of bacteria has changed dramatically. We now know that instead of being germ-free, parts of our body, including the lungs, bladder, nose and ears, are in fact inhabited by bacteria.

These commensal bacteria play a pivotal role in preventing the spread of harmful pathogens.

Commensal bacteria frequently work in harmony with our immune system, playing a significant role in supporting the immune response against pathogens through their various interactions and influences. A perfect example of this occurs on the skin, where the skin environment promotes the growth of specific bacterial species, which in turn provide essential substances such as fatty acids and vitamins.

Striving for sterility has proven to be detrimental to our health as it weakens the beneficial role of commensal bacteria in the immune defense.

Dancing With Joy

Dancing with her husband used to bring immense joy to Christa’s life. But that all changed when the 78-year-old began suffering from atopic dermatitis (eczema), which was particularly severe on her hands. Healing Infected Wounds

Artilysin^® has helped numerous people suffering from infected wounds. Mr. D. included.

He had suffered from an infected wound for 25 weeks. The wound hosted the bacterial species E. corrodens and E. coli, and prior to the application of Artilysin^®, multiple attempts to heal the wound using various conventional therapies had been unsuccessful.

Over a three-week period, Mr. D.’s physician administered the Medolysin^® wound spray – our in-market product containing a specifically formulated Artilysin^® – in conjunction with the simultaneous use of Vliwaktiv^® absorbent dressing pads.

The treatment produced remarkable results: the size of Mr. D.’s wound had reduced by 82% and most notably, he reported being completely pain-free at the end of his treatment.
